Job Description

Belfort's mission is simple: make computing on encrypted data possible. We are leading the field, working with partners like Google and NVIDIA, and Jeff Dean is one of our early backers. Our technology runs mostly on GPUs, and one of its biggest use cases is AI: running machine learning on data that stays encrypted the whole time.

As a Head of Product, you will be leading Belfort's roadmap for our products like eML. This is a highly technical role, and we expect you to get your hands dirty developing. Your key tasks will be to help identify, plan, and build out the Belfort product lines alongside a team of dedicated hardware and software engineers. You will be working in close collaboration with our leadership team (CEO & CTO).

Responsibilities

Product Strategy

  • Own the product roadmap and decide what we build next, based on customer needs and what our technology can do
  • Talk with customers and partners to understand their problems and use cases
  • Turn research results into products customers can use

    • Building

  • Design and implement end-to-end products at scale, enabled by FHE
  • Improve the software around our current products
  • Ensure the highest standards within Belfort by following industry practices (CI, rigorous testing, documentation)

    • Delivery & Team

  • Make sure products reach customers on time and work well
  • Make sure the team works on the right priorities and meets its deadlines

    • Collaboration

  • Keep the leadership team (CEO & CTO) up to date on progress, risks and key decisions
  • Work with our researchers and engineers on how our models, software and GPUs fit together

    • Qualifications

    Required:

  • Several years of experience building products in fast-moving teams, ideally on full stack projects
  • Experience owning and prioritizing a product roadmap
  • Strong technical skills; you can write code and review technical designs
  • Strong organisational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities with minimal oversight
  • Track record of leading teams to deliver on time
  • Experience working closely with company leadership (e.g. CEO, CTO)
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurship with a proven record of going from idea to product.
  • Experience with cloud technologies at scale, experience with infrastructure as code is recommended
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

    • Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of FHE or other privacy technologies
  • Experience at a B2B or deep-tech startup
  • Experience working with enterprise or government customers
